![]() I would not recommend this game, but this review might change when I give it a second try in the future. It was made super simple putting at the beginning making it so that it would be the first thing on your screen. The smart lighting line, which launched late last year, is being reduced due to quality issues, and Hue will now only make the ellipse-shaped version of the contemporary light fixtures. I did appreciate the vastness of the accessibility menu and how much they offered to make the gameplay easier on those with trouble hearing, seeing, and reading. The story is wonderfully told, and the words noted in the game are emotionally powerful. No Longer Home, inspired by the story of Hana Lee and Cel Davison’s real-life experiences, feels so human, so heartwrenching, and so effective. ![]() It didn't sync like I think they were expecting it to move all together and the over feel of the game feels super simple. No Longer Home needs to be played with headphones. The movements of the characters, the setting moving back and forth, just all the animation felt super robotic. Development duo Hana and Cel chose this project as a way to explore and express the emotions that came with saying goodbye. I spent a few minutes with the game really trying to understand and trying to like it before I made a review, but I really don't like it. No Longer Home was born when the developers were similarly forced apart after university, and decided to stay in touch by working on a game together. ![]() The names being so closely related made it more difficult to remember who is who. I really like the concept of being walked through a character's life but the beginning didn't do a good job at establishing which character is which. ![]() The game is not bad it's just not my style and way too slow for me. I had this sitting in my wishlist for the longest time and since getting a break from work, I thought I would try it out. ![]()
